Position Description:

PM, with Release MGmt experience, ideally in a global Office365 program

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Required Skills:

Organize and run the Rel Mgmt Office

• Develop and maintains release schedules

• Escalate issues that require executive attention

• Manage interaction between lines of business, regions, and other key program teams (e.g. change, infrastructure, deployment)

• Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning

• Create and work through Pilot and Enterprise migration considerations (e.g. mailbox type, device, location, business unit, user type, mailbox size, etc.)

• Group users into waves based on the complexity and priority assigned to each migration group (e.g. Pilot, Enterprise, Low Complexity, Medium Complexity, and High Complexity)

• Coordinate with Change Enablement Team and LOB champions to validate business readiness checklists (i.e. training and communications) and acceptable rate of change for business

• Document migration blackout periods to avoid disruption to the business

• Develop and manage migration wave countdown plan to identify and manage key activity timing, ownership and completion required for migration

• Monitor readiness throughout the planning process in order to navigate infrastructure or business modifications

• Manages features enablement's and toggling for release groups

• Manage any rescheduling (including users that may need to opt and be rescheduled or stay on-prem indefinitely)

• Keep user experience in the forefront of all user facing projects - Work with technical teams and business teams when developing technologies and communication plans to provide an optimal end user experience

• Create and maintain various program status reports (internal/external)

• Assist in managing overall project plan tasks to meet timelines

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of release management methodology/best practices

  • Management skills to drive regional release managers/schedulers to fill schedule and meet timelines

  • Critical thinking/analytical skills

  • Experience in working with large, complex amounts of data

  • Ability to manage interactions between lines of business, regions and other key program teams (e.g. change management, infrastructure, deployment)

  • Ability to create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning

  • Some technical understanding of O365/cloud/digital in order to create and work through Pilot and Enterprise rollout considerations (e.g. mailbox types, devices, locations, business units, user types, mailbox size)
