Posting Summary

Part-Time Production Coordinator will assist in all administrative duties for events and performances occurring in the Walter K. Gordon Theater and the Black Box Studio of the Fine Arts building. The Production Coordinator will report directly to the Theater Technical Supervisor. Stage Management and over-site of the FOH staff for assigned events will be required


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • A minimum of three years experience as production technician or stage manager required. Experience in an educational setting preferred

  • Experience stage managing corporate events, university events, classical music, concerts, and theatrical performances required

  • Familiarity with stage related technical specialties such as carpentry, lighting, electrics, audio, projections, properties, costumes/wardrobe, and scenic design required

  • Ability to specify and secure outside services and materials

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Vectorworks, Lightwrite, and AutoCAD required

  • Strong communication leadership skills

  • Ability to plan ahead and problem solve

  • Able to show initiative and work efficiently in stressful situations

  • Strong organizational skills and work habits

  • Able to commit to occasionally long and irregular hours
