The Inventory Management organization is responsible for the strategic planning of inventory positions to drive sales, manage inventory turn, and deliver profit objectives. Inventory planners are innovators, optimizers and problem solvers who are constantly seeking opportunities to move the business forward. The team is currently undergoing the implementation of an exciting new software suite to allow better management of all inventory metrics and critical in this role is adoption to the system to scale the Brand. We seek a candidate who loves using data to tell the story and a team player who goes above and beyond. The successful candidate will be curious, motivated, and will think outside the box, challenging the status quo.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop annual and seasonal budgets and financial plans.

  • Achieve sales, inventory and margin goals.

  • Manage the monthly open-to-buy process and review forecasts with planners & merchants to take appropriate action.

  • Recommend inventory strategies to maximize sales and profits.

  • Oversee the development of buy plans based on merchandising strategies.

  • Analyze business trends and identify risks and opportunities with recommended strategies to take as needed.

  • Understand distribution center capacity and processing capabilities to ensure inventory is flowed appropriately.

  • Review distribution and visual floor set strategies to support appropriate in-stock requirements.

  • Hire, train, and develop a staff while providing direction, objectives, and appraisals.

  • Communicate business strategies to team members.

  • Determine and prioritize workload for staff and recommend effective processes and procedures to improve results.

  • Be an integral partner with Merchants, Distribution, Visual, Operations, Sourcing and the Distributions Centers.

  • 3+ years planning and inventory management.

  • 5+ years business experience.

  • 1-2 years people management experience.

  • Strong business acumen, financial analysis, and technical skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

  • Superior written, communication, and listening skills.

  • Computer skills -- Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, MS Access.
